Interior Design Fee Structure
How do we price our interior design projects?
No two projects are the same, which is why our fees are tailored to each client and their brief. Designing a single room requires a very different level of input compared to a full renovation, extension, or new build, and our involvement is shaped accordingly.
Our approach goes beyond aesthetics. We focus on creating carefully considered, well-executed spaces that function beautifully, while helping you avoid costly mistakes and unnecessary delays during the process.
We are not positioned as a low-cost design service. Our fees reflect the level of experience, detail, and structured approach required to deliver cohesive, long-lasting results.
With years of experience across a wide range of projects, we bring the knowledge needed to anticipate challenges early, guide decisions with clarity, and ensure every element of your home is resolved with care and consistency.

How we structure our interior design fees
We offer two fee structures, allowing us to tailor our service to the scope and style of your project.
Hourly Rate
Best suited to smaller, clearly defined pieces of work or where focused design input is required.
All hourly work is agreed in advance and scoped carefully, ensuring clarity on how time will be used. This avoids open-ended or reactive design input and allows us to work efficiently.
Fixed Fee
Typically used for clearly defined projects, including our full-service interior design packages, where the scope is agreed from the outset.
For most full-service work, a fixed fee is the preferred approach. This is broken down into clearly defined stages, giving you full visibility on what is included at each point.
Our process is structured and transparent, allowing us to manage each stage of your project carefully while ensuring everything comes together cohesively, from the overall concept through to the final details.
This approach provides clarity from the outset and ensures the project progresses in a considered and controlled way.

Step 01
Initial in-person Design Consultation
This is the first step for all new projects and allows us to understand your space, priorities, and overall direction.
The purpose of this meeting is to review your priorities and discuss your project in detail. To make the most of our time, we ask that you prepare a clear outline of the areas you would like to focus on and what you are hoping to achieve.
The consultation is a focused working session where we discuss key rooms, explore how the space needs to function and feel, and provide initial professional guidance. We will also outline how we would approach your project.
What’s included:
-
Up to 1 hour in your home
-
Discussion of priority spaces (typically 1–2 areas)
-
Opportunity to ask questions and explore ideas
-
A tailored quotation prepared following your in-person consultation
What’s not included:
-
Full house walkthroughs unless agreed in advance
-
Written room-by-room briefs or detailed documentation
-
Post-meeting design work or follow-up reports
Investment:
£280 + VAT Inclusive of travel within our standard service area.
This fee is fully refundable upon booking any agi Interior Design service.
Step 02
Project scope & brief development
Following the initial consultation, for clients who require a detailed, room-by-room breakdown of works, we offer a structured brief development service.
This is typically required for larger properties, multi-room projects, or where the scope is still being defined.
This stage allows us to fully map out your project and create a clear framework for quoting, planning, and decision-making.
This may include:
-
Room-by-room breakdown of required works
-
Identification of priorities and key design elements
Investment:
From £250–£650 + VAT, depending on property size and complexity.
The cost of this stage may be deducted from your design fee if you proceed with a full-service package.
